PD Door | PT Door -TPD100
TPD100 is the PD Door from TSTC . PD Door also called PT Door or slide‑swing composite door, it originated in Singapore. P stands for Slide, D stands for Swing. PD Door is an integrated aluminium door system combining overhead sliding and swing functions. Its core working logic as slide the door leaf horizontally first, then swing it flat against the wall, enabling 100% full opening of the doorway.
Main Applications of PD Doors
PD Doors are ideal for space‑constrained areas, especially for the ones below .
▪ Residential : Kitchens, bathrooms, balconies, living‑room‑balcony partitions, bedrooms, walk‑in closets, small‑apartment interior partitions.
▪ Commercial : Office rooms, meeting rooms, hotel guest rooms, showrooms and commercial interior partitions, hospital ward /patient room.
Working Principle of PD Doors
▪ Closed status. The sash stays sealed, performing just like a standard interior door.
▪ Partial opening. Slide directly, functioning as a regular overhead sliding door.
▪ Full opening: Slide the door leaf along the overhead track to the side, then swing it inward or outward by 90 degrees. The door leaf lies flat against the wall to fully free up the doorway without occupying extra space for swing rotation.
Key Advantages
▪ Dual‑mode opening. Conventional sliding doors can only open up to half the width, standard swing doors require clearance for rotation. PD doors support partial opening for ventilation as well as full opening, which facilitates moving large‑size furniture.
▪ After swinging open, the door leaf attaches flat to the wall and does not occupy interior passage space. It works perfectly for narrow doorways, compact kitchens and small bathrooms (ideal doorway width: 1000‑1400 mm), avoiding collisions with toilets or cabinets when opening.
▪ Modern aesthetic appearance. Most models feature ultra‑narrow aluminium frames with tempered glass, matching minimalist, modern and light‑luxury home styles. The insulating glass has also become increasingly popular recently .
Opening Methods
The commonly used opening methods of TPD100 include the 2-track 2-panel, 2-track 4-panel,3-track 3-panel and 3-track 6-panel .
