Revolving doors are much common in today's society, when you make purchase in a shopping mall, go to your office in an office building, or go to other cities by plane in an airport, you have big probability to see a revolving door in the main entrance area of the building, and do you know something about the revolving door ?

To a revolving door, it consist of 2, 3 or 4 wings which assembled in the central pivoting shaft, a vertical type of axis. The motor is the part which bring the driving force to the door, the inverter is the part to control the driving force of the motor, to make it bigger or smaller when needed. The control unit is the brain of the door, to receive the information and send the instructions to the door. The encoder is the part which could calculate the position of the door wing , to make the door wing revolve and stop in the correct position .The sensors are the parts to detect the pedestians near or in the revovling door, and send the signals to the control unit . The control panel including the parts like key switch, handicap button, emergency stop button, to control the running status of the revolving door . 

The working process of a revolving door is as following .When someone walk near the automatic revolving door, the detective radars will be triggered, then the radars will send the signals to the PLC which is the key part of the Control Unit, PLC process the signal which sent by radars and send the instructions to both inverter and motor, then, the motor will start to run, the door wings will also run at the same time, and the people could go through the revolving door. At the same time, the inverter and encoder will also start to work, to control the running speed and stop position of the door wings. When there is something emergency happened, we can press the emergency stop button, then the door will stop immediately,to ensure the pedestians are safe . When disabled people near to the revolving door, they could press the handicap button , then the door will revolve in a lower speed, to ensure the disabled people is safe .
